A lot of terms in modelling and miniatures differ among locales,
contries, and companies. Here is my attempt to help you avoid
the confusion I first experienced. This site includes translations
of Games Workshop
terms.

Slottabase |
The name for Games
Workshop's standard 1" bases. They come in round
and square and are made of plastic. There is a slot in them
into which the base of appropriate miniatures are inserted.
They are lightweight bases but reasonably cheap and easy to
come by. |
