Glossary 

A lot of terms in modelling and miniatures differ among locales, contries, and companies. Here is my attempt to help you avoid the confusion I first experienced. This site includes translations of Games Workshop terms.

Glue, PVA The stuff you used as a kid; a.k.a. Elmer's glue. See Useful Hobby Supplies.
Glue, White The stuff you used as a kid; a.k.a. Elmer's glue. See Useful Hobby Supplies.
Green Stuff This is the term for Games Workshop's modelling putty. It is similar to Kneadatite. See my page on putty for more information.

Pin Vise Technically yes, it is a vise, but really it's more like a tiny manual drill. See Useful Hobby Supplies.

PVA Glue The stuff you used as a kid; a.k.a. Elmer's glue. See Useful Hobby Supplies.
Slottabase The name for Games Workshop's standard 1" bases. They come in round and square and are made of plastic. There is a slot in them into which the base of appropriate miniatures are inserted. They are lightweight bases but reasonably cheap and easy to come by.
