Tyranid Conversions - Adrenal Gland

Flying Hive Tyrant

Materials

  • 1 Flying Hive Tyrant
  • 1 Adrenal Gland Biomorph from the Gaunt Sprue (3 per sprue)
  • Plastic cement

Procedure

  1. Here's the model I started with:

  2. Clean the biomorph of flash.
  3. Hold it between your fingertips and add a healthy amount of cement to make a good seal and fill gaps.

  4. Now I bring the model to the gland. So I continue to hold the gland, precariously balanced between my finger tips and manipulate the model into place.
  5. Hold for a few seconds and if you have an adequate amount of glue, you should be able to turn the model upright and add more plastic cement as needed.

  6. Done! This is one of the easier ones.

Gaunt

Materials

  • 1 Gaunt (in my case, I put these on my Leaping Gaunts, a.k.a. Lysogaunts)
  • 1 Adrenal Gland Biomorph from the Gaunt Sprue (3 per sprue)
  • Plastic cement

Procedure

  1. Hold it between your fingertips and add a healthy amount of cement to make a good seal and fill gaps.

  2. Now I bring the model to the gland. So I continue to hold the gland, precariously balanced between my finger tips and manipulate the model into place.
  3. For the Leaper, Gaunts, I placed the gland on the uppermost backplate, with the longer tip of the gland facing backwards and basically flush with the tip of the plate.
  4. Hold for a few seconds and if you have an adequate amount of glue, you should be able to turn the model upright and add more plastic cement as needed. On the Gaunts, I found the more exposed position required extra application of glue to deal the inner joint. I used Faller Expert for this because of its fine tip.
  5. Done! This is one of the easier ones.
