Intro

Firmus Mutare Campaign, game ten. Frank was going after one of the higher point territories. We rolled a Bunker Assault mission.

Setup

Naming convention: The food that have faced Hive Fleet Phage have named the Hive Tyrants that continue to plague them. The one that trudges forward implacably with an escort of Tyrant Guard they call "Thunder." The swift winged beast that races across the battlefield and shatters bodies and vehicles alike has been dubbed "Lightning." They have also named the Carnifex engine of destruction, "Mjolnir".

The Battle

I ran my army straight at him and much carnage ensued.

Wrap-up

My thanks to Frank for a fun game. We talked about how the result might have been different and came to the conclusion that Frank was not aggressive enough with his guys right away. He had the ability to dish out some serious carnage, but gave me too many opportunities to choose the nature and timing of the close combat. I personally think that the Blood Claws might be key to kicking my army's chitninous butt. Also, there were a lot of points invested in special gear that could have been more bodies. I have no great ideas, but I'll try to find out if anyone has good ideas on how Space Wolves can beat Tyranids.
